Public History Aquarena Springs Project collection
The materials from a Texas State University Public History course. Materials focus on the history of the former Aquarena Springs park in San Marcos, Texas, as well as the history of the San Marcos area, tourism, and other information related to the park.
R. H. Bing papers
The materials in this collection attest to the career of R.H. Bing (1914-1986), a mathematics instructor at the University of Wisconsin at Madison and the University of Texas at Austin. The papers include correspondence, research and conference notes, publications, typed manuscripts, collaborative research, photographs, a yearbook, reprints, newspaper clippings, and two models.
Reports to the Curriculum Committee: Texas State University System Board of Regents
Reports prepared by Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) which list and summarize statistics on student enrollment by department, broken down by professor, courses taught, credit hours, and number of students enrolled. These reports are also known as "The 12th Class Day Report" or the "The 4th Class Day Report." Statistics for summer sessions are taken on the 4th day of classes, with fall and spring statistics taken on the 12th day of classes.

Retta Murphy collection
This collection contains materials related to Retta (Henrietta) Murphy, who was a professor at Southwest Texas State Teachers College (now Texas State University). Consists of personal items such as her dissertation, diplomas, financial ledgers, and notable two photo albums.
Robert Hardesty termination litigation records
This collection includes legal records pertaining to the case former University President Robert L. Hardesty and Mary R. Hardesty against the Board of Regents of Texas State University System after his sudden and controversial dismissal. The case led to a $1.1 million dollar settlement for Mr. Hardesty.
Rodeo Association records
The Southwest Texas State University Rodeo Association was a nonprofit student organization active from the mid-1950s to the late 1990s. This collection includes ephemera and promotional materials, as well as administrative records. Noteworthy are architectural drawings and records related to the project to build a rodeo arena structure at the Freeman Ranch.

Ronald C. Brown manuscript collection
This collection is comprised of research material compiled by Dr. Ronald Brown while writing books on the history of Texas State University. Material includes correspondence, research files and notes, drafts, project file and copy photographs from the University News Service of images used in the publications.
Roy J. Beard art collection
This early 20th century art collection was given to the University by distinguished alumnus and Houston businessman Roy J. Beard, along with several other individuals. The collection consists of 38 artworks: sixteen oil paintings on canvas, one oil painting on masonite, twenty sepia-toned engravings, and one pressed repousse copper plaque.

Sheila A. Hargett papers and costume design portfolios
Sheila Hargett is the Head of Costume Design/Technology at Texas State University. This collection contains records related to Hargett's work as a costume designer for University theatre productions including design sketches and portfolios and digital files.
Sherwood Bishop Aquarena collection
This collection contains items related to the Aquarena Springs Resort in San Marcos, Texas. Collection was compiled by Sherwood Bishop and his wife purchased Aquarena items from eBay with the intent of eventually donating them to the university. The collection consists primarily of items that were available in the Aquarena gift shop, from approximately the 1950s through the 1990s.
Snowball fight collection
This collection documents the annual snowball that happened 1964 until 1979. Materials include press releases, fact sheets, news clippings, correspondence, photographs and other printed matter originating from both the Southwest Texas State College and Michigan Technological University campus administrations and news services.
Southwest Texas State University News Service radio scripts
University News Service radio show scripts for programs broadcasted on San Marcos, Texas local station KCNY AM 1470. The scripts describe campus and University-related events as well as local news, traffic, and weather. Topics covered include: university sports, beauty pageants and contests, fraternity and sorority activities, guest speakers and lecturers, and updates concerning campus operations.
Southwest Texas State University Operating Letters
Materials consist of the first university wide policies called Southwest Texas operating letters (SWTOL) which were superseded by UPPS (University policy and procedure statements). University Archives houses the cancelled and older iterations of policies for historical/preservation purposes, and maintains older working files for current policies. Patrons requesting official policies should contact University Planning and Assessment.
Southwest Theatre Conference Records
This collection contains material relating to Southwest Theatre Conference's (now Southwest Theatre Association) administration, annual conferences, correspondence along with the organization's publications, which include newsletters and journals.
